The issue was triggered sometime on mid May. Tons of comments made by individuals and organizations throughout the country. Some agreed with the idea to bring Chin Peng back home, most againts it. The issue is considered close. The answer is a definite no-no. We got other issues to talk about, other matters to vote for.
A month later - mid June - Anwar Ibrahim (all of a sudden) go for the proposal. He agreed, on humanitarian basis, that Chin Peng should be allowed to come back to Malaysia.
The question is: What took him so long? One-month to think about it? Waiting to receive back some questionaire forms? Getting feedback from sponsors (if he has one, or two)? Make it fast next time yea, we aint got forever ~
